Side Impact Accidents:
Often when you are involved in a side impact car, truck or minivan accident, the impact is more serious because the human body is exposed to direct, side head impact. The opposing vehicle's momentum typically thrusts the impact victim's head into the impacting vehicle, as seat belts are not designed to restrain the upper torso from moving left or right. This is why many new cars are equipped with side impact airbags. Although, side impact airbags have helped save many lives, they are not full proof. The best offense in avoiding being involved a serious vehicle accident, is to implement good defenseive driving skills, always looking around and observing what traffic flow is like, especially whlile driving on the highway or when passing through an intersection. Most important, never drink and drive.

Rollover Accidents:
As with any automobile accident, rollovers can be potentially fatal. Rollover vehicle accidents are unique in the way in which they expose the human body to many points of trauma. Each time the vehicle turns 90 degrees, the human body is exposed to another potential injury point that could accumualte and cause the over all injuries to esclate from serious and critical to fatal.

Rear-End Accidents:
Seemingly, being invovled in a rear end car accident is more dangerous than being invovled in any other kind of serious vehicle accident. Statistically, that has not been supported. If there was a scale on which car, truck, or minivan accidents could be graded, the rear end accident would probably be lower on the scale in terms serious impact risk. This is because seat belts have been and are traditionally engenered to restarin the human body during rear end accidents. In fact the body itself helps, because the transference of momentum, speed and direction the body moves in, from having been rear ended in a car accident, is perpendicular to seat belts, which almost entirely constrains the body from moving. Although, this statistic may be reassuring, you will most always suffer some form of neck injury if you are invovled in a rear-end car, truck or minivan accident.
