Many personal injury cases are a result of  manufactureers, wholesellers or retailers placing consumer products and goods out into the market place that are defective in their notice, design or manufacturing.   Many items that are sold or used in the market place can be defective.   Following are sample types of defective products or goods-  medical devices, medical presicription labels, car brakes, child car seats, airbags, etc...

Notice Defect
:A consumer product that has a notice defect consists of the manufacturer or retailer failing to fully or adequately warn consumers of certain risks that are known or should have been known to the manufacturer, wholeseller or retailer.

Design Defect
: A product that when produced could have been made, not just better, but more safe, and the cost attendant to making the defective consumer product or good more safe, was diminimus in camparison to the risks it posed to the consuming public.

Manufacturing Defect: This aspect of a defective product is not defective in its warning ,nor is it deective in its design.  The problem here is that there is a glitch in the process by which it is assembled.  When present, this glitch causes the  assembly process to either miss a step, or fail to add some critical component or conduct a required test to insure the quality or safety of the product or good. The risks associated with defective, conumer products or goods can be fatal.  If you have been injured because of a defect consumer product or good, call Masonlawyers: 310-860-7798.
